NHM ZOOLOGY - Annotations in pencil in Vol. 1 only. Tipped in to p. 97 of Vol. 1 is an undated and unidentified newspaper cutting on the devastations of wolves in Russia (p. 97 contains the entry on wolves). Bibliographical notations in pencil on preliminary page of Vol. 1 only. Pages 83-86 of Vol. 1 have been folded in, to avoid cutting through annotations in the margin during rebinding.
NHM TRING - There is indecipherable writing on the front endpapers of both volumes, where the paper has been torn away, leaving what might be the vestiges of a signature.
NHM ZOOLOGY - The volumes have been rebound. Spines have raised bands.
NHM TRING - Rebound in brown leather with gold tooling and raised bands.
